Our School Day
Our school is arranged in the following year group classes:
- Nursery
- Reception
- Year 1 and Year 2
- Year 3
- Year 4
- Year 5
- Year 6
It is the school’s aim to continue with this arrangement but if numbers in a year groups fall, additional vertical (mixed age) grouping may be necessary.
The timetable is arranged so that during the course of the week each class has the opportunity to use all the available facilities, such as the hall and library.
The school Day : Reception to Year 6
At 8.30am doors open for children to enter into school. School staff are on duty from 8.25am and children are parents responsibility until the doors open. Doors close at 8.35am for lessons to start.
All children finish school at 3.05pm. This is the 32.5 hours of statutory school day time as directed by DFE. Additional hours include any after school clubs as extra curricular activities.
The Nursery Day
Children in Nursery start the school day in line with the rest of school at 8.30am, when the school doors open. Nursery children can attend from 8.30am to 11.30am or 8.30am until 12.30pm if staying for the lunchtime session.
